As a church we are involved in mission and evangelism both locally and internationally.
Locally we support the work of the Warminster Foodbank, Street Pastors and Cornerstone.
We also have a policy to give regular support to four mission organisations each under a different category. These missions we support through financial giving (tithing 10% of our annual income), through regular prayer and through raising awareness of the mission activities during our Sunday services.
Our 4 areas and missions are:-
- World Mission: We have a partnership with a church in Christ Town in the Maridi Diocese of South Sudan, this is building upon a link through our local Diocese of Salisbury and a deanery link with Maridi. As part of this link we pray regularly for the life of the Parish and also provide financial support for the Maridi Diocese.
- World aid: Tearfund – Kigazi water project in Uganda.
- Spiritual Development: Bible Society
- UK Mission: CAP
Our youth and Children’s groups also sponsor a child through Compassion.
We also support many other organisations through encouragement of our church members to be involved in different projects both locally and internationally and are aware that there is a great deal of individual support offered in this way.
As a Church we are members of the Evangelical Alliance and actively participate in Churches Together in Warminster.
